Common questions

Are images uploaded to nobg.eu servers?

No. The core background removal workflow runs locally in your browser session. Your source image is not uploaded to our servers for editing. Site-level analytics and optional advertising are separate from the cutout pipeline—see the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Is background removal private?

Yes. nobg.eu is built for privacy-first editing with browser-based AI segmentation. You can remove backgrounds without a mandatory upload-first cloud API for the primary edit.

Does nobg.eu work offline?

After the first visit, many assets can be cached by your browser. Initial model and runtime setup usually requires internet access. Full offline behavior depends on your browser, device, and cache state.

How is nobg.eu different from remove.bg?

Many popular tools are upload-first cloud services. nobg.eu focuses on local browser processing so you can preview and export a cutout without sending image files to a remote editing API for the core workflow.

Is my photo stored after I finish editing?

nobg.eu is not a cloud photo library. We do not store your working images for background removal. Recent thumbnails in the editor may remain in browser storage on your device until you clear site data.

Why use local AI instead of cloud APIs?

Local AI gives stronger privacy control, faster perceived turnaround on capable hardware, and fewer data-sharing concerns when handling client, catalog, or document photos.

Who operates nobg.eu?

DMK WEB STRATEGY S.R.L., a Romanian company (CUI 54080033). Registered office and operator details appear on About, Privacy, Terms, and Cookie pages.

Is nobg.eu free?

Core background removal is free in the browser. Optional advertising and voluntary support links help fund hosting. See Terms of Service for the service model.

Where are images processed?

Segmentation inference runs in your browser tab for the primary workflow. Read How processing works for WebGPU acceleration, WASM fallback, and session memory behavior.

What image formats are supported?

You can open common web formats such as PNG, JPG, JPEG, and WebP in the editor. Export supports transparent PNG and WebP depending on your chosen settings.

Does nobg.eu require an account?

No account is required for core editing. Open the homepage, choose an image, and export a cutout in your browser session.

How does WebGPU affect speed?

When your browser exposes WebGPU, inference can run faster on supported hardware. If WebGPU is unavailable, the runtime falls back to WASM or CPU paths so the workflow remains usable.

Will quality be identical on every device?

No. Edge quality and runtime speed vary by browser, hardware acceleration, and input complexity. Hair, fur, glass, and low-contrast edges remain challenging on any tool.

Does nobg.eu show ads?

The site may display Google AdSense or similar advertising when enabled. Ads load only after you grant advertising consent where required. Rejecting optional cookies does not block background removal.

How do cookie and consent choices work?

Essential storage runs the site and remembers your privacy choices. Analytics and advertising storage stay denied by default until you accept them in the banner or footer preferences. Google Consent Mode v2 applies to supported tags.

How can I contact nobg.eu for privacy requests?

Email privacy@nobg.eu with a clear subject line and enough context to route your request. For editorial corrections, include the page URL and the statement you believe is outdated.

What export formats are available?

You can export transparent PNG or WebP from the editor. You may also add a solid color or blurred background before download when that fits your workflow.

Can I use cutouts for Amazon or Etsy listings?

Many sellers use transparent PNG or white-background exports for catalog work. Marketplace rules change by platform and category—verify current image requirements on the marketplace itself before publishing.

How fast do you respond to email?

We target five business days for privacy and legal messages. Volume may extend response time during busy periods.

Can I request deletion of analytics data?

Core editing does not require an account, so there is usually no per-image cloud record to delete. For site analytics and consent choices, see the Privacy Policy and use cookie preferences in the footer.

How good is mask quality on difficult edges?

Mask quality tracks capture separation more than brand slogans. Hair, fur, glass, and thin straps improve when backdrops contrast the subject and sources are not heavily compressed. Always zoom QA before publishing hero assets.

Which export settings should I use?

Export transparent PNG or WebP for compositing. Use solid white or brand fills only when a channel requires them. Keep a master with alpha; derive platform-specific files afterward.

What license applies to my exported files?

You retain rights in your source and exports subject to the Terms and any third-party rights in the photo. nobg.eu does not claim ownership of your cutouts.

Is commercial use allowed?

Yes for lawful business use under the Terms. You remain responsible for marketplace compliance, model releases, and brand guidelines in destination channels.

How do ads fund the free editor?

Optional advertising may appear according to consent choices and policy pages. Ads fund infrastructure; they are not part of the local cutout inference path.

Which cookies does nobg.eu use?

Consent and analytics choices are described in the Cookie Policy and footer preferences. Editing images does not require accepting marketing cookies.

Does nobg.eu use my GPU?

When the browser exposes a compatible WebGPU path, acceleration may speed inference. Otherwise WASM/CPU fallback still runs locally. GPU use does not imply cloud offload.

Does it work on mobile browsers?

Modern mobile browsers can run the editor; large files are usually faster on desktop with AC power. Treat phones as draft devices for demanding catalog work.

Can I batch process many images?

The product is optimized for interactive single-asset workflows. High-volume unattended batch may need separate automation; do not expect desktop API semantics in the free editor.

What are common failure modes?

Low contrast edges, JPEG artifacts, motion blur, white-on-white products, and lossy re-encoding of alpha PNGs. Fix capture and export discipline before blaming the model.

Who owns the exported cutout?

You do, subject to rights in the original photo and the Terms. We do not take ownership of exports generated in your browser session.

What does nobg.eu not store from my edit?

We do not operate a cloud photo library of your working images for background removal. Session pixels for the core edit stay on your device; see Privacy Policy for site telemetry.
